Being a military wife has taught me a strength I didn’t know I had and led me on a journey to help families just like ours navigate significant life changes.
At just 19, I married my husband, Kyle, and together we relocated to North Carolina, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune. With Kyle often away for training and deployments, I found myself navigating our new life largely on my own. I vividly recall nights spent in my car, struggling without the resources to secure military housing or even rent an apartment. Despite feeling isolated and overwhelmed at times, I never stopped pushing forward.
My break came while working at a mortgage company, where I met a real estate agent who wanted to help us buy our first home—a double-wide trailer. It was life-changing and gave me the sense of stability I needed during that time. Not long after that, I found out I was pregnant with our first child, Jayden. I spent much of that time back in Indiana with my family, planning to have our baby there. However, Kyle was suddenly hospitalized in North Carolina with a severe infection right before my due date. Miraculously, I made it back home and we managed to be together for Jayden's birth. It was a miracle amidst all the challenges we had faced.
Four months after Jayden’s arrival, I discovered I was pregnant with our second son, Ian. While Kyle was deployed, I was raising our two young children alone. Kyle first met Ian when he was three months old. It took a lot of strength and resilience from both of us to get through these tougher times. We both prioritized family and being the best parents we could to our boys.
One of the greatest challenges we faced was when Kyle was seriously injured on his last deployment, leading to his medical retirement after a decade in the Marines. His transition back to civilian life was fraught with challenges, particularly with his mental health, something many veterans experience. I found myself in the dual role of caregiver and primary parent, striving to keep our family united and strong. We leaned heavily on resources like the Semper Fi Fund during this time, which provided not just financial but emotional support.
Once we regained a sense of normalcy again, Kyle and I vowed to move beyond just surviving; we wanted to thrive and pursue passions that brought us genuine happiness. Kyle launched an offshore fishing business, which became a fulfilling career he loves. In the past, I had explored several ventures, from starting a jewelry business to selling makeup, reaching the top 2% in sales. I knew I wanted to continue with entrepreneurship.
Real estate became the perfect path for me, inspired by my desire to help other families—particularly those in the military—find stability and navigate life’s transitions. Driven by my early experiences of feeling lost and unsupported when I was new to military life, I’ve channeled that empathy into my real estate career, becoming the resource I once needed.
My firsthand knowledge of the challenges associated with moving and setting up a new home in unfamiliar environments allows me to offer unique insights and tailored support. This focus has not only defined my approach but also deepened my commitment to ensuring no client feels alone. Through real estate, I provide the resources, knowledge, and support to help each family confidently establish their new beginning. Looking ahead, I am committed to expanding my real estate team and achieving financial independence for our family. More than anything, I want to continue supporting families in their journeys to homeownership.
Outside of work, we are all about family time! We love going to our kids' sporting events, camping, boating, and simply enjoying that quality time together.
One of the most rewarding moments of my career came after Hurricane Florence. I helped a family who had lost everything in the storm find a new home. With the support of the community, we furnished the entire house with donations, and seeing their gratitude when they walked into their new home reminded me why I’m so passionate about this work. I know firsthand how transformative it is to have a stable home, especially in uncertain times.
This passion is what fuels me through every transaction to deliver the best experience possible. I pride myself on being a mountain mover—nothing gets in my way. I believe every problem has a solution, and I never quit until my clients’ needs are met. Communication is key, and I maintain consistent follow-through, which I believe is crucial for a successful outcome. Whether it's navigating a complicated deal or moving quickly for a military family on a tight timeline, I bring a level of dedication and problem-solving that sets me apart. Even after the transaction is over, I remain a lifelong resource for you, here for anything you may need!
Sincerely,
Tiffany Kirkpatrick
